But much of what it contains certainly isn't considered to be the best on the market (for example, their Prophet emulation is poor compared to U-He Repro). V Collection is hard to beat for the money, which means it has a lot going for it on that front. But you should demo a lot of the things in it to be sure. Normally, I'd say "no" to this question, but, given that you're just looking for a lot of presets, it might be worthwhile. By then you will have a much stronger idea of how being able to fully control the individual synths will or will not fit your workflow. This is already the 2nd time the V collection on sale in the last 3 months, and it will likely go on sale again this summer. Go for the less expensive presets option and take a couple months to see which of the synths you find yourself using more. It sounds like $400 is a lot of money for you.

Plus Analog Lab integrates perfectly with your Minilab, and the individual synths won’t. This sounds like it would fit your workflow better. Having you considered just getting Analog Lab? Analog Lab includes ALL of the same instruments, except you are limited to presets with some degree of flexibility. This is especially since you work from presets. The V collection gives you more instruments than you would likely know what to do with. As you mention, you don’t have any VSTs, and you like to work from presets. I am going to be an opposing view and say no. With these informations, what do you think? Is it worth it to buy now the v collection? I'm not a sound design guy, I mainly work from presets, altough I usually tweak the parameters, but I don't make presets from scratch. I also own an arturia minilab mk2, so the midi control integrity would be perfect. For this vintage lofi sound, I think this collection would be very suitable. I know, that there is omnisphere and keyscape, which are perfect for hiphop, but idk, somehow for me the v collection seems to be more unique, maybe it's just the marketing. I mainly do lofi hiphop, chill ambient music, sometimes, hiphop. This would be my first purchase for a VST Plugin, maybe that's why I'm overcomplicating this. (I know that there is the splice rent-to own deal, with less monthly sum but that's 600 dollars) The price is a bit too much for me, but on the other hand it's 27 vintage keyboards/synths, so the average price is 14 dollars, which is insane. I'm considering to buy the Arturia V Collection 8, which is on sale for 400 dollars, for arturia users.
